One Step

Our greatest challenge in life holds our greatest victory. On the other side of each challenge we will find our victory. David was one step away from becoming the King of Israel after he was rejected by the Philistine army, returned from that discouragement to his home only to see it burned to the ground and find out that his family and the families of his men had been taken captive. To add insult to injury he faced the prospect that the men whom he had poured himself into, the dregs of society who were bums and nobodies before they hooked up with David were ready to stone him.
Let's see. Rejected by your enemy, house is burned to the ground, every friend you have wants’ to kill you, it can't get much worse. Most of us would have quit long ago, but not David. David remembered each day what Samuel said, "I came to anoint you King of Israel", he never forgot that. Much like we can remember, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." "I will be with you always". "I am your rock and salvation." I am the Lord your God is there anything too hard for Me?" And on and on and on we have a whole book of what Abba has said to us. We have Holy Spirit to remind us what He said. We have a brother who prays to Abba on our behalf all the time.
All we must do is take one step. Encourage ourself in the Lord. David encouraged himself in the Lord and took that one step and it led him through the door of defeat to the throne of Israel. Don't quit!Take one more step it may be the step into your destiny, victory, blessing, an encounter with our loving Father. All of our steps are ordered by Him. Don't quit taking steps.
