Embracing Mystery

In John the 6th chapter Jesus refers to eating His body and drinking His blood. This so offended those He spoke to that it caused them to leave. It certainly was not one of His more popular teachings. It’s interesting however that after even some of His followers left he turned to the twelve and asked, Will you leave also? Peter, in one of the two times he nailed an answer to the Master’s questions said, no, we will not leave because you have the words of life. In reality Peter had no more idea what Jesus meant about eating His body or drinking His blood that those who left. Peter was confident that he did not need to understand, he just knew that Jesus had the words of life. That was good enough for him.

The mystery of what is happening in our life sometimes confronts us and offers the temptation to embrace offence because we think God is not working on our behalf. Many times what we have prayed for has not yet manifested in the natural and we become impatient and question God, maybe even complain. All of this leads to offence, and offence leads to separation from the Master. We would do well to maintain the attitude of Peter, “Master I don’t understand what you said, but I do know you have the words of life and when you speak I feel your presence. It’s not important that I understand only that I trust."

Embracing Mystery

Having Jesus' words be GOOD ENOUGH. What joy it is to have access to His Righteousness. The priestly order that Jesus is characterized by is one of PURE Blessing, bringing bread and wine. The spiritual nutrition that is provided allows us to grow and draw closer to Him intimately. Our alone time with Him enhances our spiritual root structure. A natural tree has just as much going on under the soil as it does above the soil. The fruit in our lives is tied to our foundation(Faith,Belief,Trust) that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. The Fruit is a representation of the Root. Our Blessings are reflected in our intimacy with the Eternal Blesser. The digestion of His Faith and Righteousness in us and towards us grows our understanding of the right-standing with Him that we have in Christ.
